Additional Design Services

Hammer & Nail Designs will begin by making a site visit where we will meet the clients and talk through what the project entails. The purpose of this visit will be to measure and document the space. H&N will capture existing conditions through precise measurements and detailed photographs.
This includes identifying and locating walls, fixtures, millwork, and more, in both the interior and exterior of the site.
This allows H&N to create a comprehensive drawing for your project, ensuring accuracy from the very start.

Good, Better, Best: A Smarter Start
We present three expertly crafted layout options that cater to your unique space needs. You can select any option as-is, blend multiple designs, or customize to match your vision perfectly.
Each option includes comprehensive floor plans and elevations to illustrate the scale, flow, and relationship of each element. For your convenience, we also provide an Existing Conditions Layout, offering a side-by-side comparison of your current space with each new design.
This approach simplifies your decision-making process and establishes a solid foundation for your project, ensuring that each choice aligns with your objectives and is made with clarity and intention.

Hammer & Nail Designs will create new layouts based on the approved Schematic Designs and any authorized adjustments. These drawings will detail the project’s dimensions and specifications through comprehensive floor plans and elevations.
Upon finalizing Design Development, we will prepare the necessary layouts for the Building Permit and Project Construction.
Please note that a Permit by a Structural & Mechanical Engineer is required Post-Design collaboration with the H&N team.

Based on the final agreed upon layout, H&N will work with the client to select all necessary items to make this space a reality.
Choose your tile, hardware finishes, countertops, and more, all tailored to your style. A client selection worksheet and timetable will be personalized upon request to keep your priorities organized.
Please note that any additional design expertise needed will be charged at an hourly rate; however, all kitchen design fees will be credited toward your cabinetry purchase when ordered directly from H&N.

What began as hands-on work in the field — learning the craft alongside his Father — evolved into a passion for spatial planning, full-home design, and custom cabinetry. That early foundation in carpentry provided a deep understanding of how things are built, allowing him to approach design with both creativity and real-world practicality.
As his experience grew, so did his opportunities, leading to rapid advancement within the luxury home market. Over time, he developed a well-rounded skill set across multiple disciplines, enabling him to create thoughtful, well-executed spaces that balance design, function, and craftsmanship.
After more than 25 years in the industry, that journey led to the creation of Hammer & Nail Cabinetry & Designs—a business built on experience, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for bringing each client’s vision to life.

Amanda is often the first point of connection for clients, bringing a warm, down-to-earth energy that makes the entire process feel easy, clear, and genuinely enjoyable. She creates an environment where clients feel comfortable, understood, and fully taken care of from the start—offering honest guidance, seamless communication, and a level of attentiveness that builds real trust.
Behind the scenes, she leads the structure that keeps every project moving forward—managing each project from lead intake and consultations to proposals, measurements, documentation, and design presentations. She coordinates cabinetry orders, aligns selections with clients, and oversees all communication while maintaining organized systems and project flow, ensuring every detail is accounted for.
With a background in Client Relations, Luxury Sales, and Project Coordination, Amanda also supports Marketing, Brand Presence, and Business Growth — bringing a balance of professionalism and personality to everything she does.
H & N has over 25 years experience in Design, Construction & Consulting. We are a Family Owned & Operated business. We align ourselves with other well reputable & proficient businesses that collaborate effectively to produce top tier results.

Kaska serves as the administrative backbone of the studio, overseeing financial management, bookkeeping, and the internal systems that keep operations running seamlessly. She brings structure, clarity, and decisive leadership behind the scenes, ensuring every detail is accounted for and every process runs with intention. Known for her direct, transparent communication and grounded perspective, she approaches each decision with efficiency and precision. Her design sensibility favors clean, timeless aesthetics that evolve naturally with modern living rather than chasing fleeting trends.
Before entering the design world, Kaska spent several summers working alongside a personal chef in East Hampton, New York, serving an elite clientele and gaining a refined understanding of how high-performance kitchens truly function. Paired with her Bachelor of Science, she brings a methodical, strategic mindset to the business—analytical, balanced, and deliberate in every decision she makes.

Passionate about the intersection of art and interior design, I specialize in creating functional, stunning spaces through detailed floor plans, 3D renderings, and architectural layouts. With a dual background in Studio Art and Interior Design, I bring a keen eye for composition, color, and lighting to every project. As the lead photographer for H&N, I also ensure that the final design is captured in its best light, telling a cohesive story from concept to final photograph.
